The ideal person for this job should have 3-5 years experience in professional customer service and must have the following attitudes, skills and experience:

  • Actively listens to understand customer priorities and goals beyond basic needs and requests
  • Has almost obsessive-compulsive attention to detail
  • Is incredibly organized all day, every day
  • Loves impressing customers with outstanding results
  • Enjoys working with many different types of customers from many different backgrounds
  • Knows how to manage an incredible volume of work without getting "overwhelmed"
  • Understands the dynamics of working in a professional services organization including working with technical types, account managers, account executives and other support staff

The ideal candidate will be able to champion the TechRoom brand and help customer discover how our service products can change their lives for the better.  The ideal candidate has superb customer service and sales skills required to help detect and identify solutions to satisfy individual and business customers needs, including both expressed and unexpressed needs:

  • Incredible professionalism and poise, both on the phone and in person, that is fun and confidence-inspiring without ever being stuffy or awkward.
  • Is a master of the art of conversation, and can turn around anyone's day for the better no matter how bad the situation they are facing
  • Has awesome active listening skills and the ability to help customers articulate their desired results without having to be technical about it
  • Ability to help customers see beyond obvious fixes to solutions that could be more valuable for them
  • Proactively seeks out ways of helping customers by detecting and discovering their needs beyond the topic at hand
  • Incredibly outgoing and fearless of recommending solutions with accompanying dollar values
  • Outstanding account management, follow-through and problem solving skills
  • Resourcefulness and attention to detail
  • Fluency in English
  • Excellent communication skill, both written and verbal
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • 4-year degree from an accredited university required 
Characteristics of success
  • 3-5 years experience in customer service and/or sales
  • Experience with hospitality and white-glove customer service
  • Ability to communicate features, advantages and benefits of products to customers in ways that match their needs to expected results
  • Ability to multi-task and to work under pressure
